This playlist is part of the European Youth Goals initiative and supports actions contributing to European Youth Goal #7: Quality Employment for All. Through interactive activities and practical tasks, you will explore job-seeking strategies, workplace rights, practical experience, future career trends, and advocacy for employment policies.

This activity helps you understand how the world of work is changing and equips you with the skills to adapt and thrive in evolving job markets.

You will explore trends like digitalisation, automation, and the gig economy and learn how to develop future-proof skills that employers value. Participating will give you insights into emerging career paths and identify how to align your abilities and interests with future workplace demands.

For the vast majority of us, the workplace is rapidly changing. But what does that mean for the future of work? Will technological advancements dispense with jobs? Watch the World Economic Forum’s video “What is the Future of Work?”


We’ve seen a seismic shift in the workplace in the past couple of years, but how could the working world evolve? A more human collaboration solution could help elevate your hybrid working experience from culture spaces to smart tech. Watch the Guardian Labs’s video “What does the future of work look like?”

Participating in the following activities will prepare you for a rapidly changing job market and develop skills that ensure long-term career success.
  • Attend a workshop or webinar on automation, digitalisation, and emerging career paths to discover future trends. Learn how industries are evolving and what opportunities they present for young professionals.

Complete a skills-mapping exercise to see how your current abilities align with future job requirements and identify areas for growth. You can complete the “Future makers. Lead your learning, civic and career pathways to the future” activities.
  • Participate in hands-on activities like coding challenges, digital marketing simulations, or creative problem-solving games that mirror real-world scenarios can help you develop future-proof skills.
